Hello. My name is Animala, but my friends call me Annie! I am a 4 year old spayed female Retriever/Shar Pei mix. I am a sweet girl with an amazing personality. I was adopted from the shelter back in xxxx and thought that I had found my forever home. Sadly, my family moved and was unable to take me along. As a result I was brought back to the shelter to find a new home. I came back in June and have been patiently waiting for my forever home since then. I have been adopted twice since I came here but ended up coming back because I wasnt a good fit for the homes I went to. I previously lived in a home without other dogs and I have found it very difficult to adjust to home where I am not the queen of the castle. I love people but tend to be a little apprehensive when I meet new people especially men. Thankfully it doesnt take me long to relax and get used to new people. Once I am comfortable I love to be pet and give kisses. I love going for walks but I am working on my leash manners. I already know basic commands like sit, down and shake. I am also housetrained and kennel trained. I love the staff here at the shelter and I know they love me too. They all talk about how they would love to take me home but they all have multiple dogs already. I would do best in a home without other dogs which makes finding a new home just a little bit harder. All I need is a home where I will get lots of love and attention and time to relax and adjust to my new surroundings. I had so much fun getting all dressed up and getting to smile for the camera I was so excited, I had a hard time sitting still! Thankfully I still got some great pictures and enjoyed being the center of attention. I love everyone who works here and all the attention I get but I am really hoping to find a new home for Christmas! I pray every night that the perfect family will come in and adopt me. I've been here a long time but I will never give up or lose hope because the people here have not given up on me! They know my family is out there somewhere and they will continue to love me until that family comes in!
